Hi eBay Discussion Boards, I have this old VHS copy of Rayman: The Animated Series and I’m looking to sell it, and want to know how to price it. I don’t have photos of it but the tape is a bright red colour and it was gifted to me on my 8th birthday by my Uncle Gus. It was my birthday party at a McDonald’s and my Uncle Gus was there, along with my parents and some Bank of Scotland employees (they were having lunch at the time). Uncle Gus nearly got thrown out by the security guards at the McDonald’s because he wouldn’t stop going into the staff-only area where the food is prepared and kept pestering the underpaid staff by saying “workin’ hard or hardly workin’?”
When my parents presented my birthday cake to me, Uncle Gus threw the VHS tape (which was wrapped in the thoroughly foxed pages of an old TV guide) at the cake; he then played a Nokia ringtone version of Rollin’ by Limp Bizkit and shouted “MISSION COMPLETE”, then pelvic thrusting so hard that the cheeseburgers he had stuffed down his jeans began falling out. The security guards at the McDonald’s were so annoyed at Uncle Gus that they grabbed him and then threw him out of the front entrance, where he screamed something to the effect of “owwww my scrotum owww!!!” This was as he hit his head on a bin outside of the McDonalds, after which he salvaged a Filet-O-Fish from said bin and started eating it whilst crying.
I was very upset that he ruined my birthday and I cried a lot. My parents tried to comfort me by saying they had a special last gift at home for me but I was too sad about Uncle Gus ruining my special day. I remember one or two of the Bank of Scotland workers came over and tried to cheer me up by doing a Crazy Frog impression, but they kept screeching “DINGDINGDINGING” over each other and got very annoyed each other, so they stopped. As we left the McDonald’s, one of them was talking on a mobile phone angrily and they ended up burning her elbow on the cigarette she was smoking and started shouting something about how her flat smells of copper and she couldn't get the smell out of her utility room.
My parents didn’t let Uncle Gus into the car, so he had to walk home. I saw him again a few hours later, he was eating the pages from a TV guide found in a gutter outside of Farm Foods.
I don’t even remember what the last gift promised by my parents was, or whether I even recieved it.
Anyway, how much do you think this tape is worth? I heard this tape is pretty rare?
